Remembering My Mother!

I took care of my mother when she got Alzheimer’s Disease! As she got worse, she had to go into a nursing home.

I went to visit her every day. I would eat dinner with her at the home. Her mind and memory got worse. I had her last birthday party at the home. She was 93. I was there when she moved on to a better life!

She meant so very much to me ……

As she always will!

  1. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™. Thanks for sharing this.

My uncle looked after my grandad when he got Alzheimer’s Disease. We were out of touch with that side of the family for 12 years which spanned the period that my grandad got worse and died. When my uncle later described some of the experience to me, it was heartbreaking. It gave me a lot of respect for him to have looked after my grandad for so long, and for other people who are able to do that.
